![]() It would be great if someone could work off that platform as it’s the only thing I found that combines a stereo line level signal and output it to an unbalanced instrument level input. No sending midi on release, long hold, double tap… just toggle on/off or patch/bank change and that’s it. The TS Mega is soooo close to the perfect solution but falls short on the foot switch functionality. ![]() I haven’t fully given up but at this point it feels like I’m just being stubborn and refusing to admit that a traditional setup is just better overall. I don’t know how to upload pics but I have been experimenting with a few different interface to guitar amp solutions and while I found one that is effective (MeloAudio TS Mega - buy with caution because I think the company has abandoned this product) you still end up hauling just as much gear and making the whole exercise futile. If you want to use whatever amps you have around then you run into other issues like stereo to mono conversions, line to instrument level conversions, etc. And you need the right interface and cables. Powered FRFR speakers can fill that void but most are ugly and not very guitar amp-like. If you are simply going to jam with some friends, no PA, this is where the benefits of a simple stripped down laptop/IPad setup become questionable. An award-winning amp-and-effects processor that turns your computer or mobile device into a fully customizable guitar and bass rig. Oh and desktop and iOS versions are completely separate licenses? I can't work across platforms - work in one and continue in another?Īll the replies so far assume you are going to have access to a PA system. I might well go the whole hog and get the elite or pro FX package - value for money compared to a Helix for example. I'm surprised this isn't being done more? Or are people using this live? Why? Why not? What's been working? What's not? It's all very well working with headphones but what does it all sound like through a PA - still quality? No hum or ground loops? Is it practical? Keen to hear opinions. Players can access a full arsenal of amazing guitar amps & effects anywhere, anytime with the second generation of an award-winning guitar app. I then buy a 4-8 way midi foorswitch, expression pedal and a decent audio interface that works with iPad and I've got quite neat setup for live gigs, with a massive range of tonal possibilties. Powered by a re-engineered, high-definition BIAS DSP engine, BIAS FX 2 Mobile turns iOS devices into the ultimate all-in-one guitar effects processor. I figure if my iPad can be the brains and touchscreen it'll deliver the tones and a truck load of FXs and routing in a super small package. ![]() then I discovered Bias FX 2 / Bias FX Mobile (which I gather are the same thing). then I started thinking about VST studio rigs and whether these can be used live. Starting looking at the Line 6 Helix, Headrush and GT1000. I've since dumped the Mesa amp and have been using the tones in a Boss GT100, fairly old tech now. I used to have pedalboard but dived into mutli-FXs a few years ago. Got a bunch of questions about Bias FX 2.Ĭontext: not a fast player or technical but I love soundscapes and effects. ![]()
